Among others… One Conscious Connected Breathwork Session

What is the concept of conscious connected breathwork sessions (CCB) with Iguana Prana Breathwork?

The concept of conscious connected breathing goes way far back in the history of ancient cultures. It has found its way to western cultures only recently, within the last 50 years approximately and is increasing. Different schools developed with similar, but still quite different intentions. Famous are Wim Hof and rebirthing, holotropic or transformational breathwork. What they all have in common is, that the breath will guide you through your experience as a powerful tool. You may dive deep into the connection between body, mind and emotions. Even spiritual and out of body and soul connection experiences are possible using the technique. Whereas the effects are not guaranteed and every individual will always have individual experiences. In group sessions the energy within the room will be shared and consciously or subconsciously felt by all the participants. The time span of the conscious connected breathing can vary between short periods of a few minutes and more than 2 hours. One or more trained facilitators accompany the session to create a safe and compassionate space to support you in the best possible way.

What is so special about Conscious Connected Breathwork sessions?

On the one hand, looking at a CCB from a spiritual perspective, one of the biggest and loving effects is the deeper connection with yourself using the breath. During a CCB Session it is possible to profoundly connect with yourself. If you do so, and this is the beauty of it, it’ll give you new insights and space to grow, you’ll eventually find your true nature. You can see who you are - maybe for the first time since your soul has found its body on planet earth. And you’ll maybe recognize how you are with yourself and how you are towards others. This in the end allows you to open a gate to being more loving and kind, compassionate with yourself and the world around you.

When applying the breathing technique for a certain period of time, physiological changes of the blood constitution will occur. It is then possible to give your thinking brain a good rest. And this allows the body and the emotions to take over. It is potentially a portal and the breath will guide you through it. If you allow it to happen, your breath can bring relief, be it physically, mentally or emotionally. Sometimes you can connect the experience with a moment you’ve lived through in the past or an emotion that is stuck in your body. Sometimes you don’t know what is happening and it might even feel like “nothing”. But then things are still happening and in this very moment it is not important knowing and understanding everything.

You are the light.

How is the entire process of a Conscious Connected Breathwork Session with IPB?

You’ll be guided through the whole session. After arriving and slowly finding your spot in the breathing space, the breathing technique and the overall approach is explained. Usually there’s also some grounding and activating practices after the welcome. Once the entry phase is over, you’ll start your breath journey by applying the technique in a way that suits you on this very day. You are always in charge of how deep you want to go, how much you want to let go and let the breath guide you. It is an invitation and a practice to trust yourself and to let go. It is also work, that means it can be exhausting if you’ve never done this way of breathing ever. During your experience you’ll be supported. Once the conscious breathing part is over there’ll be plenty of time for integration the recent experience and space will be given to share what you like.
